Birds Canada and WildResearch are excited to announce our new BC Marsh Monitoring Program!

The Marsh Monitoring Program is an initiative from Birds Canada that was initially launched in 1995 in the Great Lakes basin, and has been expanded to other provinces across Canada and the U.S. Birds Canada has now partnered with WildResearch to establish the program in British Columbia. Volunteers with this program will help track important information about the birds and amphibian species that depend on freshwater wetlands.

If you’re someone who is willing to go outside and get your boots dirty to contribute to the conservation of precious wetlands, then don’t hesitate to join us! We are currently seeking volunteers in the Lower Mainland, but plan to expand to other parts of BC in the years ahead. If you’d like to get involved in the Lower Mainland, please let us know by sending an email to bcmmp AT wildresearch.ca. The first surveys are scheduled to start in March 2021.
