Fel Castañeda Gamboa
Impact & Storytelling Manager – International Cooperation and Conservation
I studied film animation at Concordia University and fell in love with the ways stories can change us and the world around us. Slowly this passion has steered me back into the outdoors and the world of environmental education. I am really fortunate to have worked with youth directly in some of the most wonderous ecosystems in the world, from the Amazon rainforest and the Guajira desert in Colombia, to the Guna Yala archipelago , and the black oak savannahs that survive still in Southern Ontario. After working on this field for 5 years across 3 different continents, I can't imagine tackling the challenges we face without storytelling.
I love birds and I believe migratory birds are a link between these interconnected but distant ecosystems, and their stories can help us care for them better.
