Join Birds Canada on a guided wetland walk through the wetlands of FortWhyte Alive in Winnipeg, Manitoba! This walk is the field component of the MarshWatch webinar series, but all are welcome. REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Timing: Sunday, June 23th 9am – 12pm – rain or shine unless severe weather looms.
Location: FortWhyte Alive, meet in front of the Reception Centre
Cost: Free! Birds Canada will purchase tickets for the group. Group size is limited to 13, and participants must register using the link below to reserve a spot.
Walk plans: Once everyone has arrived, Birds Canada will pay the entrance fees for participants, then we will head out and tour the wetlands and ponds/lakes.
Accessibility and location information: Washrooms are available at the Reception Centre and the Richardson Interpretive Centre. Trails are well maintained but may include natural obstacles.
Suggested items to bring: Binoculars, sturdy footwear, sun & bug protection, water/snacks.
We will bring: extra binoculars, a spotting scope, field guides, and enthusiasm!
