Marsh Walk at FortWhyte Alive in Winnipeg

Join Birds Canada on a guided wetland walk through the wetlands of FortWhyte Alive in Winnipeg, Manitoba! This walk is the field component of the MarshWatch webinar series, but all are welcome. If you want to learn more about the birds and amphibians in Prairie Canada, all the webinars can be viewed on the program page here.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Timing: Sunday, June 23th 9am – 12pm – rain or shine unless severe weather looms.

Location: FortWhyte Alive, meet in front of the Reception Centre

Cost: Free! Birds Canada will purchase tickets for the group. Group size is limited to 13, and participants must register using the link below to reserve a spot.

Walk plans: Once everyone has arrived, Birds Canada will pay the entrance fees for participants, then we will head out and tour the wetlands and ponds/lakes.

Accessibility and location information: Washrooms are available at the Reception Centre and the Richardson Interpretive Centre. Trails are well maintained but may include natural obstacles.

Suggested items to bring: Binoculars, sturdy footwear, sun & bug protection, water/snacks.

We will bring: extra binoculars, a spotting scope, field guides, and enthusiasm!
