Saskatoon Marsh Walk

Join Birds Canada on a guided walk around the wetlands of Hyde Park in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan! This walk is the field component of the MarshWatch webinar series, but all are welcome. If you want to learn more about the birds and amphibians in Prairie Canada, all the webinars can be viewed on the program page here.

Timing: Saturday, June 15th 8am – 12pm (find us on the trail if you arrive later!) – rain or shine unless severe weather looms.

Cost: Free!

Location: Hyde Park & Trounce Pond

Walk plans: Meet near at the parking lot on Slimmon road, just east of the intersection with Boychuk. We will head south and circle the west-most pond in Hyde Park, then we will check out the birds on Trounce Pond, north of the parking lot.

Accessibility and location information: Trails are well established, a mix of packed gravel and pavement. No public washrooms, but there may be washrooms at nearby businesses.

Suggested items to bring: Binoculars, sturdy footwear, sun & bug protection, water/snacks.

We will bring: extra binoculars, a spotting scope, field guides, and enthusiasm!
