Registration is open for the 2018 Great Canadian Birdathon. Sign up now and you can join thousands of birders and supporters giving birds a boost! Last year’s Birdathon raised over $230,000 for conservation efforts across Canada, thanks to individuals like you.
Getting involved is easy: simply register, ask your friends and family to support your effort, choose any day in May, and go birding. This year, we’ve updated our Great Canadian Birdathon website to help your registration and fundraising go as smoothly as possible.
As a participant, you are entitled to receive the 2018 limited edition Great Canadian Birdathon t-shirt featuring a striking Barred Owl design by husband-and-wife team Paul Riss and Rachel Riordan. Available in men’s or women’s sizes!
You also have the chance to win some really great prizes. The 2018 Grand Prize is an all-inclusive guided tour generously provided by Eagle-Eye Tours. Other prizes include binoculars, spotting scopes, and a year’s supply of bird food! All prizes are courtesy of our wonderful Great Canadian Birdathon sponsors: Armstrong Bird Food, Eagle-Eye Tours, Kowa, and Vortex Canada. Find out how last year’s lucky winners chose to enjoy their prizes.
Whether or not you take home a prize, you can enjoy a day of birding with the knowledge that Canada’s birds will be the real winners. Birdathon proceeds support research and conservation projects across Canada through the Baillie Fund. Read about the history of the Baillie Fund and Birdathon here.
Birdathon participants put forth an impressive effort and had a great time birding for conservation in 2017. Let’s keep making a difference for Canada’s birds. Register for the 2018 Birdathon or pledge your support today!
