Early each spring, Citizen Scientists across eastern North America dedicate one evening to counting American Woodcocks around sunset. These volunteers are part of the American Singing Ground Survey, delivered in Ontario by Bird Studies Canada in partnership with Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.

We are deeply concerned about Ontario’s species at risk and the overall direction put forth in the discussion paper and urge our supporters to become familiar with this issue and contact your local MPP.

On July 17, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that the Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act (NMBCA) fund will, once again, support Bird Studies Canada’s efforts to conserve the Endangered Cerulean Warbler in Ontario.
