Andrea Gress (she/her) fell in love with birds during an internship in South Africa. She was delighted to return to her home province of Saskatchewan and find a summer job working with Piping Plovers along Lake Diefenbaker. This experience led her to Birds Canada, where she became the Ontario Piping Plover Coordinator. After five years of sharing her love of plovers with beach goers, Andrea turned her attention to all birds – and now holds a communications role with Birds Canada. She spends her spare time gallivanting in the Rocky Mountains.
